The application process for the distance education program at SRM University is:
Step 1: Visit the official site of SRM University and select the “Apply Now” option from “Directorate of Distance Education” tab under the Admissions portal.
Step 2: Fill in the registration form and log in again with your credentials. You will be able to do this after your email address and mobile number has been verified.
Step 3: Fill in all the necessary details and upload the required documents.
Step 4: Pay the application fee online or via demand draft (DD) to confirm.
Step 5: A “Provisional Allotment Order” will be sent to your email address within 24 hours after your documents have been verified.
Step 6: Once you receive the Provisional Allotment Letter, you will have to pay the tuition fees online or via demand draft to confirm your admission.
If you are applying for the MBA course, then you will have to wait for the entrance test (SRMCAT).
After submitting the application form, you will be informed about the date of the examination.
If you pass the test, then you will receive your Provisional Allotment Letter.
Those who cannot apply online will have to send the form and their documents through post. Their only payment option is via demand draft.
Admission
For certain courses in the distance education program, there is an entrance examination that is conducted by SRM University for admitting students.
A student who has the required marks in this entrance test will be allowed to take admission.
In other courses, a student’s admission will depend upon the marks obtained in any qualifying examination.
If there is an entrance examination for the selected course, then the candidate will be informed about the date after submitting the application form.
Otherwise, the candidate will have to submit mark sheets of the qualifying examination along with the application form.
