Certificate Program in Digital Marketing

Over the past few decades, marketing has had to contend with leaps in technology and our relationship to it.

In today’s world when the internet is entwined with everything we do, the importance of digital marketing has become very clear.

It has also become an integral part of what business means to its customers.

This makes the course of digital marketing one of the up and coming courses in recent years. In today's world, merely being a marketer is not enough, a technical knowledge of the field is also a sine qua non.

Digital marketing encompasses all marketing efforts that promote a product or brand using an electronic or digital medium.

It leverages search marketing, email marketing, social media marketing, and mobile marketing to connect with current and prospective customers.

The certificate course would help the student to grasp the fundamentals of digital marketing and help to create a structured plan of action for any business model.

The certificate course teaches student to use marketing strategies such as boosting customer acquisition, conversions, and follow a practical and pragmatic approach in digital marketing.

Duration of the Program

The program is for six (6) months.

Syllabus:

The university facilitates quality learning as the curriculum is regularly reviewed by industry legends who have years of experience. The certificate course can be divided into five sub courses, i.e.

  1. Introduction to Digital Marketing;
  2. Search Engine Optimization;
  3. Integrated Marketing Communication;
  4. Social Media Marketing and;
  5. Emerging Trends in Information Technology. 

Evaluation Process:

  • The course is composed of twenty credits, four credits for each sub-course
  • Each sub course would have an exam consisting of a formative continuous assessment; 40 marks and a summative proctored assessment; 60 marks, a total of 100 marks
  • The formative assessment shall comprise of self-assessment questions, Assignment I & II
  • Assignment I and self-assessment questions are MCQ based, Assignment II is subjective based
  • The summative proctored assessment would be conducted through the COL test engine and would comprise both MCQs and subjective questions
  • To pass, each student must achieve a minimum of 40% marks in both the formative and summative assessments.

Eligibility

For students to be eligible for this course, they must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. For the students who belong to the reserved category, a minimum of 45% aggregate is necessary.

Admission Process

  • For admissions, prospective students must visit the University’s website; https://idladmissions.dpu.edu.in/login2019.aspx
  • Fill in the basic information such as name, country, program chosen, etc.
  • A mobile number and email ID must be presented for mobile verification and email verification respectively
  • Once the verification is complete, the student has to fill the admission form
  • The students must also have a soft copy of any one of the following Government IDs; AADHAR/ Passport/ PAN Card/ Driving License. He/She must also have his/her photo, signature, 10th Marksheet, 12th Marksheet, Graduation Marksheet, Degree Certificate / Passing Certificate with them and recent passport size photograph along with a photo of signature.
  • Once the necessary documents and a recent passport size photograph are uploaded, the candidate has to pay the program fee. The fees must be paid online via any of the following methods; Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, Demand Draft
  • The University shall verify all the documents and fee receipts, and thereafter an admission confirmation email and SMS would be sent to the student. This shall include the student login credentials along with a link.

No. All the examinations are conducted at the specified Examination Centers through online mode.

The exams are conducted at the end of the course. Depending upon the batch the candidate takes admission i.e. exams are conducted in June or December
